Immigration picked over my rental contract like a dog gnawing a bone...contract was in Thai...yet I was asked to fill in the blanks...immigration was not impressed and demanded a new one.

Demanded copy of owner's signed ID card...and original power-of-attorney from owner living in another country...

Could anything so simple be made more difficult?  ????

Yes.

Number 3 seems to be clear as to what they want.

I assume number 4 is a TM30 report for where you are staying.

Unless the local immigration office requires a power of attorney should not be needed.
