Two motorbike taxi drivers injured in accidental shooting in South Pattaya.

An accidental shooting now from the South Pattaya Road in front of the Friendship Supermarket which left two men injured.

Both men, who work as motorbike taxi drivers near the Supermarket, were taken to Banglamung Hospital in the early hours of Thursday Morning and Police Major Pongsawat from Pattaya Police Station took up the case.

He interviewed both men, Khun Somjit aged 42 who was the shooter and Khun Tirapong aged 25 who was lucky to escape with his life when a bullet penetrated his chest perilously close to his heart. The shooter, Khun Somjit explained that he had recently purchased a “Pen Gun” and decided to show the weapon to his friends at the Taxi Rank.

He failed to remember that the weapon was loaded and expelled one shot which caused him to sustain an injury to a finger and a further more serious injury was sustained by his friend, Khun Tirapong. Police have charged Khun Somjit with possession of a firearm and use of the weapon in a public place.

Khun Tirapong has said that he forgives his friend for shooting him.

Look how tough i am i have a gun.......................<deleted> comes to mind

Call me old fashioned, but I fail to see why one would want a gun like this, what its purpose is and how come they are so readily available? Lucky it didn't kill him.

Remind me not to ask to borrow a pen from a Thai m/c taxi rider in future! May need a large piece of blotting paper after! :o:D
