Used Thai Debit Card In America...

Recommended Posts

Card has visa logo, bought a 12 pack of Heineken at Food Lion.. 14.99, and 15.73 after taxes usd.  Didn't try the 6 digit pin and called it a credit card.  Took about three seconds to approve.  Got a message from bank, intl charge 494. 17 THB.  From midmarket rate on XE looks like they charged me 2.7%, which is what my American Express would charge for foreign transaction (but gave me a 200 usd bonus for signing up).  41 per beer, but our cans are 355 ml, and it is canned in Netherlands, not Nonthaburi.  All good.  Mom paid for the steaks, and the Nats won a squeaker.

And i'm now drooling into my keyboard. That steak looks absolutely spot-on ????

The good Ole iron skillet.  5.99 per pound for the USDA Choice sirloin.
