Where is the best service/place for Thais to start an investment account? Something like Vanguard, Schwab, Wealthfront, or Bettermint, where they can contribute each month to invest? Does such a service exist?  Recommendations are appreciated, thanks.

maybank  kimeng.., but I thought SBI, state bank of India looked interesting...depends on location...also the big banks have investment arms, but I like the look and feel of the true brokerages..but trading is so easy in the US, I refuse to monkey around hete, but for Thai different story, and there are some good funds to get in...

Thanks, the Maybank website looks like it's from 1999:

Anyone actually use this?

True Brokerages: can you shoot a link? I can't find out much about it.

I'm curious if something like Vanguard or Wealthfront exists here for Thai people to invest long term.  It's surprising nothing obvious exists.

I meant brokerages, whose roots are in investing, as opposed to commercial banking.  The overlay is bigger all the time. The SET is about 2 km North of Asok, on Ratchadaphisek, so the big players are going to be near it, but some have satellite offices throughout the country.  It is very country specific, that's why you don't see fidelity and schwab here.

Here is the SET site.. https://www.set.or.th/set/mainpage.do?language=en&country=US

My Thai wife just opened an account with Charles Schwab in Hong Kong. Zero commissions on all stock trades. Just Google Charles Schwab Hong Kong to get their site.
