Whoopi Goldberg is returning to her Sister Act role as Deloris - but not as you'd expect

It's one of her most famous film roles, and Whoopi Goldberg is playing it again on stage.

 

The Sister Act star will reprise the role of Deloris van Cartier for a very *very* limited theatre run in summer 2020. There will be just 39 performances, taking place at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.

 

In a preview video for the shows, we see Whoopi having a costume fitting and saying that her new take on Deloris will be "a little older, a little seasoned, but really still kind of out there".

 

She'll be joined by Jennifer Saunders as Mother Superior, with further cast to be confirmed.

They certainly forgot to mention a LOT larger in the costume fitting. She has become such a loud mouth pig over the last decade. Nobody cares.

Hum...  The most relevant thing she has done, which IMO was impressive, was her outspoken stance against the Hollywood blacklisters last month. Although she is anti-Trump she stood up for to what was wrong and she voiced it eloquently.
