I can think of numerous charges to be made;

 

Carrying a pistol without a permit.

Owning a pistol without a permit.

Discharging a weapon in public.

Reckless endangerment.

We would like to hear the reason why this was done, he may have been threatened by the student age unkown, welding class could mean that he was an adult not a 10 year-old.
