Exports, imports witness drop in September

Thailand’s exports in September shrank 1.4 per cent year on year to US$20.48 billion (Bt617.5 billion), while imports dropped 4.2 per cent to $19.20 billion, according to a statement from the Thai National Shipper’s Council today (November 5).

Thai rice is in trouble, with the price of 5 per cent Broken White Rice and sticky rice being very low, Thai Rice Mills Association president Kriangsak Tapananon said. New jasmine rice in the beginning of the season will be earmarked for export, and the old rice will be consumed in Thailand, he added.

Twist in case of girl’s arrest over krathong character

GPF sees economic expansion in last two quarters
