Phone Line/internet Question

Featured Replies

I need to get an internet servive for the apartment i am currently living in. At the moment i have no phone line and will therefore need to get one installed. This is all okay with my landlady. However while researching on the internet i have come across some comments to the effect that without a work permit it is not possible to lease a telephone line in Thailand. I have no work permit as i do not really work here.

My question is, in peoples experience here is it possible to lease a telephone line without a work permit? What documentation is required?

Thanks in advance

Mainly you can! But you'll need a NON Immigrant Visa or Retirement Visa for to do so. Your Landlady need to sign for the Line anyway and may it's just a kind of question to run the line on her name but you pay the Installation fee and later rentalfee. for the Internet/ADSL connection you can signup on your name with an kind of from her signed Allowance paper.

If possible use TRUE because is the easieast to make the contract with. Check with avaibility of Line and ADSL connection to this line. Call 0 2900 9000 and follow by 9 for english and than the No. of your enquirie!
