FWIW Balinese women also went topless. Sadly the blue nosed prudes from Europe got here ahead of us to spoil the fun. In a hot climate, going topless is a sensible choice. If going topless is a long held cultural tradition, the locals don't react like the Europeans who came here, where showing even an ankle would be scandalous back home
