So I don't don't know what this thread is about. I suppose it is an opportunity for self promotion, which is great but I have no heart for it. It is easier to promote others, and there a bunch of members in the running this year that I really like. But I do think if I had to choose I would support NCC1701A. On the basis of three things. He has sense of humor, He has a strong resemblance to Keifer Sutherland, the Star Trek reference, and the fact his informational posts have very low bullsh1te content. Although this last fact is negated by the BS expounded when he waxes on concerning his amorous conquests. Which leads me to believe there is some compensating going on. But who am I to judge?

I am a misanthropic, conservative, and anachronistic, old soul. I am only here to bemoan the better days gone before and to tut tut all of the progressive nonsense as the climax of humanity is decades behind us now.

I live a healthy, athletic lifestyle and I like nice people, nice things and a nice environment.  Whether traveling, hiking or cycling I have my iPhone with me and I am not shy about taking pictures.  I like living in Thailand, I am happily married for 22 years, I speak Thai and I do not speak disparagingly about Thai men or women.  The people I call friends are great people and I am not overly concerned with those I do not know.

 

There are 50 to 60 members who consistently like my posts and that is what I typically get in the POTY competition as well.  That has been enough for third place, twice before, but you can’t win with those numbers.  The top two need closer to 150-200 to be assured of a win and with my handful of detractors there is no way I can reach that level.

 

So I just do my thing, trying to provide some balance to all the negativity with some pretty pictures and positive posts, while doing my best not to feed the trolls.????????????️‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍❤️‍????

but I think it stops there.
English is not my native language , some posts literally pass me very high above the head;
I came here on Thaivisa 10 years ago, and I have been living in Thailand for 13 years with my Thai wife and her children who have left the house   a few years ago ;they are married , have children ...
the last one, a 22-year-old woman, lives with us because she has an autoimmune disease that requires her to regularly go on a full day of examinations and consultations at the Khon Kaen Public Hospital.
This year, I looked at the lines dedicated to POTY 2020 because I particularly like the posts of some nominees.
Those who do not know me or few , can go to the Photography & the Arts line or I post a lot of photos taken during my almost daily MTBike balades around my home in Sakon Nakhon province.

After reading the surrealist Yinn's post  ( Yinn for President ! ), I think I will vote for her
