Popular Post webfact Posted November 27, 2019 Popular Post Share Posted November 27, 2019 U-turn on ban of three farm chemicals angers Bhumjaithai party In an abrupt about-turn, which threatens to cause a rift in the Government’s coalition, the new National Hazardous Substances Committee (NHSC), chaired by Industry Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit of the Palang Pracharat party, overturned its predecessor’s decision to ban paraquat, glyphosate and chlorpyrifos effective from December 1st. The NHSC endorsed a proposal by the Agriculture Department for a postponement of the ban for six months and allow the controlled use of the herbicide glyphosate for indefinite period. The committee also assigned the Agriculture Department to find alternative substances to replace paraquat and chlorpyrifos. It was also instructed it to work out measures to mitigate health threats to the public and any other impacts caused by the continued use of the three hazardous chemicals. The department is to report back to the NHSC within four months from today. The evidence is clear to anyone with half a brain that these chemicals are a serious danger to health. Another report in 4 months will not change that fact, and more farmers will have health problems! Government doesnt care because they arent smart enough to be empathetic about anything. I run a farm and its completely organic yet all my neighbours are dropping off like flies. Country is retarted!! All peopple that dont agree should stop eating cp products and all market rubbish. Its all toxic! Then they will be forced to ban this sht. We grow all our own fruits and veg. Wont touch market, supermarket produce. It seems that nobody in the world has been able to do that or they would just start using the alternative if you could do it you would show everybody how easy it is and make a motza at the same time or maybe it has been done and the big chemical companies are suppressing it to hang on to their market at the expense of people's health and well being.
