Democrat MPs will be told not to miss House meetings

 

 

Democrat MPs will be asked not to miss House meetings, unless they are sick or have urgent matters to which they must attend, in order to avoid a repeat of the incident last week when two House meetings were suspended due to lack of a quorum.

 

Mr. Ong-art Klampaibul, the democrat party deputy leader, said the MPs are due to meet tomorrow to discuss House agenda, a meeting during which he will seek the cooperation of all MPs by attending every House meeting.

 

He dismissed some suggestions that the cancellation of two House meetings last week, for a vote recount over the opposition motion to set up a panel to investigate impacts of pre-election orders and executive orders under Section 44 of the interim constitution, were part of a political game.

thai leadership personified; acquire the job by whatever corrupt means necessary and do not do the work of that job, just collect the paycheck

But in their defence, there is no real point to them attending. Any meaningful opposition to the junta will simply be ignored by the said junta and forgotten about in the media after a few days at best.

I think many of the Democrats were the ones who were traitors to their voters and their cause and sold their souls to the devil in exchange for ministry and lesser appointments. They are the ones who helped vote Prayut as the Prime Minister in return for prime positions at the trough.

They made the junta's dreams come true.  Now they don't want to be held to account.   It is only fair in junta land.
