What he is being investigated for is asking a foreign govt to investigate a political rival. That he cannot do.

 

The point is that Trump has 0% chance of being removed and that there is going to be a lot of dirt coming up on the dems. This won't be good for them when we have this thing called an election.

0% chance of him being removed should not stop congress doing its constitutional duty. If the senate wont do its job the public still needs to know what trump did and vote accordingly.

The point is the damage to the dems could be much worse than what happens to Trump. If Biden gets knocked out because of this the dems need to scramble to get somebody viable in PA, OH, MI, WI.

No it isn't anything of the kind.

In fact, the democrats are rushing this which may be a mistake but their reasons are it will take many months to get rulings on further key witnesses, so then 45 will have run out the clock. 

So your theory about drawing this out into the election season is simply and totally WRONG. 

Did it occur to you that 45 has abused his office so horribly that he has left no choice but for there to at least be an attempt at impeachment and removal? He's on record as working towards corrupting the 2020 election so waiting for that election doesn't solve the problem. Decent Americans do not want an elected dictator!

Maybe. But it is not that simple as the trial will be presided by Chief Justice Roberts, who is rather considered as impartial. Actually there are two options:

- he may not agree to let the trial derail from its initial objective by allowing the Bidens to be summoned. In case he does, he will closely monitor questions in order to avoid a circus.

- in case he does, he will likely allow Pompeo, Giuliani and co to be summoned in order to look bi-partisan. And that can be very bad for Trump (he does not prevent them from testifying for no reason, right?)

This president has been corrupt from Day 1. Anyone supporting this, rich guy from N.Y. is doing a disservice to America. Read or keep up to date with intellectuals and/or credible journalists regarding Trump or the current political state of affairs in the U.S.?  I suppose they are wrong or playing the 'race card'? Or better yet, 'fake news?'

 

IMO it is a majority of older Christian conservatives and Neo-liberal supporting democrats that are the ones lacking in supporting policies that help the middle class with better paying jobs along with strengthening unions. The media has people so misguided and divided it's a sad situation really.

 

Trump's impeachment should have already been finished and accomplished. Next, support Bernie Sanders for actual improvements in your lifetime. Or do you want continued blame on the poor or 'China' for your years of financial declines and labor union busting.  Again, lastly, I feel supporting Trump or at least continued Republican Conservative agendas or Neo-Liberal politicians will only be more of the same. #getaclue. #Bernie2020

Yeah, I don't like Pelosi also. I notice your profile picture. What is up with you folks hating on her and AOC? He may not be removed but he should be. He has been corrupt from day one. As I mentioned in a previous post. Keeping up to date with credible journalists and intellectual speakers regarding Trump, would leave you to wonder why on earth do people support this guy. Well, most of it WAS due to being the better choice from HRC. Yeah, I thought so too. Regardless, his support has been reduced and Bernie is gaining grown. Funny. I thought her response to that was excellent. She's the most impressive house leader in history and the most powerful woman in U.S. history as well. She was very vague about the actual articles of impeachment as well. I truly hope a vote is held so those that vote yes can be held accountable next election.

"Hearsay"...?  All the testimony was under oath and have been collaborated.  But why wasn't there first-hand information?  Because Trump has refused to allow those with first-hand information to testify.  But even if they all testified and told the truth, Trump would insist that they were lying.  So it comes down to who to believe, Trump or pretty much everyone else.  And we know that Trump is a pathological liar.
