For nonstops the choice is limited to 3: THAI, PAL=always late and Cebu Pacific, the lowbudget one, similar to AirAsia and all its tariffs and extraś, can be quite cheap if using it smartly. All 3 from Swampy.  ANY farang must have ticket OUT of PH so book return or other way out str8 away. They check this on check.inn. CP is mostly owned by PAL, just like ThSmile is by Thai. Make your own choice-people can be so extremely fussy or prejudicial about certain airlines or yes/no lowbudget.

There MAY still be a mid-east carrier doing 5th freedom last leg on this, like Kuwait or Gulf-in that case and if really wanted try a tr-agent. Expect extended delays and notsonice timings.

I have visited The Philippines many times for tourism. I have always been automatically stamped in for 30 days, and was never asked to show an onward ticket. This requirement might only be for those who hold passports from semi-developed or undeveloped countries.

AirAsia from Don Mueang.

One or two flights daily depending on day of week.

In December 2002 on my way around the world I flew from Cairo to Don Muang on a 1 way with no questions asked. In January 2003 I attempted to check in for a flight to Manila. I was denied boarding because I didn't have a return or onward ticked. Had to buy a full price ticked MNL -  BKK and get it refunded in Manila.

Confirms the usual misunderstanding.

It's not so much immigration but the airlines that care about this rule.

In the unlikely case that you would be denied entry for missing return/onward they will be penalized and obliged to take you back.
