So the fella gets busted for a bit of weed, which is almost certainly how his overstay occurred, waiting for the case to be finished, hence the reason for the deportation. Now though he is made out to be some sort of super villain? I mean how many cops do you need to arrest such a petty offender? Looks like at least seven, maybe more.

He escaped and was recaptured, making him a flight risk.

In any event, if he was caught with an illegal substance, he should be deported regardless of his immigration status.

Can't do the time....don't do the crime.

Caught with a bit of pot! The country is riddled with hard drugs and serious criminals yet you want to send him to the gulag for that! Bizarre

Easier way to escape from punishment pay the police and they drive you to the neighboring country. Remember where the Norwegians paid 600,000 thousand
He is in Norway now

He will regret this episode for a long time.

A good beating in the cells because he will certainly "try to escape again." I would guess that he can forget deportation and look forward to singing hymns in the Bangkok Hilton.

There are so many warnings worldwide regarding the use of drugs in Thailand. Unfortunately people imagine it will never happen to them.

I have no sympathy for him whatsoever and he deserves all that he receives.

Congratulations to RTP for an excellent job.

Yes exactly.

Pretty naive of people to think 7 cops is too many.

Who knows his status at the time maybe he got the cuffs off is desperate and armed.

We have plenty of those in South Florida. It's a long way from Haiti to Florida to Thailand.. Won't be surprised if the US authorities are looking for him with a one way ticket home to his native land.

Built that wall...
