yes it is the owner, I am moving from old house to a new rental house and the owner (my landlord) has never rented to a farang before so want to get the right papers for her, hopefully make it easier for her and myself in the long run

Thank you for your help Peterw42

Hi i need to jump in...

When i arrive in febuary im staying at my friends house for a month in ubon...

Question...to report that im staying there...where do i go , who am i seeing and what am i taking with me. An actual address would be great because My friend says the place i have to go is 2 hours from airport and i thought that doesnt sound right?

She is the owner of the house so will be with me.

Thanks

Unless you will have reason to deal with immigration while in Thailand (extension perhaps) I wouldn't bother. Even if you have to get an extension just book into a hotel that does a TM30 the night before.

It is not you who has to report, it is the owner of the house or the hotel who has to report they have a farang staying. It is the owner who gets a fine if they do not report. It is a tricky one as I have stayed at the inlaws house for a week at a time and they not report also have stayed in many hotels where the thai wife checks us in and they never report me as staying even had a hotel say that it is easier for them not to report me so who knows
