Anyone ever had a hemorrhoid cut out?

Featured Replies

Yesterday I visited a specialist dr at a private hospital to seek advice about my painful recurring hemorrhoids. Ive had it for a yr on and off but it came back 3 days ago really painful.

The dr said that he could cut it out there and then. I said is it expensive and he said no, Im not an expensive dr. After the most painful needle in my life the dr cut it out and I was bleeding all night.

Today its still there bigger and round. Unsure why or how it returns so fast or did the dr do a <deleted> job?

What should I do now?

thanks

No photo ??

Just kidding... I have suffered from external ones, once a year maybe twice !! Never had the courage to get it cut out, its sooooo painful but only last a couple days..

Does sound a bit dodgy if it's come back again !!

I think you should return to the doctor and try and get to the bottom of this problem.

I remember when my dad had one done ,sat on an air ring cushion for ages ,said he wished he had not had it done .

but i believe if they drop out(happened to someone i worked with when i was a young lad) they called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital for an operation .

Exactly the same words of wisdom my father gave me....never get them cut out, you will always have problems from then on

And having them done in a doctors office is a new one on me

This is typically a surgical procedure performed in an operating room at a hospital by a professional.

If you are still bleeding you need to be seen by a dictor ASAP.

Where in Thailand are you,?

It stopped by the morning. I was in bangkok when it happened and was ready to go back to the same dr if still bleeding- as he suggested I do. It still a bit sore but now big and round back to where I started.

I was hoping another victim might share his experiences about how long this is going to go on for and what I should do next.

Im back in the country now and wonder if I should go and see another specialist for another opinion tomorrow?

I was in a private hospital but just in the guys consult room where he see's patients. It was all rather a quick decision where my pants were down and I was lying on my side submitting. He talked me into it. It was no operating room as such!

Had the problem, surgeon told me get witch hazel on a lot of cotton. Put on your behind before sleep. Mine was gone next day.

Vineyard?

LISTEN.  Invest in your health/quality of life.  Get evaluate for a H.E.T. procedure, cheap and easy. mostly painless.  Can be done in Singapore.

HET is a hemorrhoid treatment procedure that allows for the gentle, simple and efficient non-surgical treatment of grades I and II internal hemorrhoids in a single procedure. Treatment with the HET system is fast therapy that typically takes only minutes to complete.

DO not cut them out.  There are many other options.  Find a good doctor.  what are your stools, lifestyle ie diet, activity like.  You very likely do not have undergo  such a drastic intervention.  What grade 1, 2, 3, 4 is your hemorrhoid? Internal or external?

I looked into this with Bangkok Hospital, they don't or did not do it in Bkk but did in Phuket a few years ago. I have not had that done, but most of the other treatments over the past 40 years.

Apple cider vinegar works but it can burn a bit

A Proctologist told me years ago to use Hibiclens , antiseptic/antimicrobial skin liquid soap and that has prevented any problems
