I have read and find the benefit of drinking Ginger and Lemon as a way of trying to keep my lungs as clear as possible during these very polluted ("micro-toxic snowflakes") days.

I have a hot mug of water every morning before I get up. With this a teaspoon of granulated ginger from Big C , several slices of fresh ginger , and quarter of a lime from the garden squeezed into the mug. Drink this slowly while reading the morning news.

 

Since starting this habit the arthritis in my fingers has all but vanished and I get fewer colds. Tastes good too.

So good that the wife also does the same thing before her breakfast while she is cooking for her mother and the monks.

I'm pretty sure Ginger and Lemon will not keep your lungs clear unless you immerse yourself in it and learn to breathe like Aquaman...but having said that...it's not bad with some ice and a bit of honey
