Happy to see socialism is not winning everywhere in the world. Not many places left.

I agree with almost everything you write;
moreover you must realize it with the number of thanks that I give you.
but there, you have not thought enough before writing.
I still agree with you about socialism which destroys all life on earth;
but if we reflect a little bit more; socialism and capitalism come together, go hand in hand so that we, the beggars, the less than nothing, we disappear as quickly as possible from the surface of this earth.

I am enjoying my tax cut thank you very much.

The top 10% of earners pay 70% of the federal income tax burden.

The bottom 50% pays 3% of the federal income tax burden.

I'm sorry, who isn't paying their fair share again?

American billionaires paid less in taxes in 2018 than the working class, analysis shows — and it's another sign that one of the biggest problems in the US is only getting worse

In 2018, billionaires paid a smaller portion of their income in taxes than average Americans. That's the first time that has happened in history.

Billionaires paid 23% of their income in federal, state, and local taxes in 2018, according to an analysis of tax data by the University of California at Berkeley's Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman for their upcoming book "The Triumph of Injustice."

The liberals and the disadvantaged better prepare for anarchy and civil war if the Democrats win in November because he isn't going to pack his bags - he views himself as king and he is just buying some more support from the Military Complex to maintain his grip on power - this is a reality check and the streets will be paved in blood come the end of year - And the rest of the world must stop sucking up to him Isolate him or another world War is possible Remember the 20's and 30's in germany - same old story Nationalism, Ethnic isolation and power grabbing - same old song

The top 10% earn a huge amount more than the bottom 50%.

Yes, that's why they pay more taxes. By the way, the bottom 40% pay ZERO net federal income tax. In fact, 3 million more people paid no federal income tax in 2018 versus prior.

Just how much more are we supposed to lower federal income tax for people who don't even pay at all?

i don't understand how USA people are so weak to stand up to a madman

he conned his way through life on lies/ in his working life broke most of his life

living on borrowed money

wont release tax returns which will show it

with this brainless clown and his bum boys will break the country

i am a outsider and speaking to people around world his action have sent respect for USA down the gutter

What don't you understand? It has nothing to do with weakness. Trump is a demagogue and the people in the USA are angry. They are following him because he is promising to do something that will change the status quo. Nobody cares about any of the other trivial issues you mention. This kind of a leader halways arises in every country that tries to implement democracy when certain conditions are met - the people are suffering sufficiently, the elite and political classes are ignoring them, and someone figures out how to use an issue to divide the nation and rise to power.

Ask the ancient Greeks about demagogues. They made the word after all. If you no longer have respect for the people of the USA that says more about you than it does about them. If you understood history you would understand exactly what is happening now. Demagogues arise at inflection points in history. Good or bad, all we can do is wait and see where this takes us. One thing that won't be happening is a return to the status quo before the demagogue rose to power. That never occurs.

Trump very well might break the country. That would serve the purpose. The people certainly don't want what they had before. The French beheaded their monarchs and got Napolean in the bargain. Did they improve their country with that?  Not my place to say, but they did change their country. That is what will happen with the USA. I personally think the end result of this, given another few decades, is going to be the dissolution of the USA into multiple, independent countries.

Interesting times. I only regret I'll probably die before I get to see how it all turns out.

An exceptionally cruel and unusual president. Two or three terms of this? Really?

Trump just saddled himself with a major campaign liability

President Trump is cruelly working overtime to gut health care for millions of Americans — while simultaneously demanding that we spend billions on the wasteful, useless, hateful border wall that he vowed to make Mexico pay for.

If Democrats are looking for campaign arguments against Trump, that juxtaposition is one place to start. It highlights two big issues on which Trump stands in opposition to majority opinion.

His (tax cut) cost me 9 thousand dollars last year I’m just a working guy it certainly dident benefit regular folk with the anemic growth under trump they are looking for ways to pay for their (rich folks and corporate) tax giveaway just another nail in trumps ouster come November imo

I am guessing you got hit because you are based in a high SALT state. If so then you paying more worked out exactly as intended. I don't live in such a place and received a tax cut.

All POTUS spend US tax payer money. <SNIP>

Correct. However, trump's spending on his leisure at tax payers expense is extraordinary. Plus of course a U Turn on his election promises; yet another example of his systematic deceit.

Any civilised nation would protect its vulnerable and poor by taxing the wealthy and redistributing that money. Poverty can happen to anyone and in the cut throat world of commerce and big business many high earners can be reduced to nothing overnight! Health care should be available for everyone, not just the rich!

No problem. The military is hiring. Free Healthcare!

Jeff Bezos paid no income tax. Richest man in the world and yet, as Buffet puts it, his secretary pays a higher tax rate than him.

Three people in America own more than the entire bottom 50% of Americans.

50% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, which means if they even sprain their ankle and see a doctor they are screwed.

What exactly is it you are reporting is going to happen to Jeff Bezos if the tax code forces him to pay more?

Are you getting the point yet?
