Foreign Birth certificate authentication at MoFA

Featured Replies

Does anyone have link to template form for requesting MoFA authentication of foreign embassy stamp on foreign birth certificate.

Can only see Thai language on the MoFA page so not sure which link.

Thank you.

Normally the procedure to have a document legalised is to have it stamped by your embassy, next to have it translated into Thai and then certified by the Thai MoFo (consular department). The translation agency can take care of the Thai MoFA for you.

If the child is a Thai national the birth must be registered with the Thai embassy in the country it concerns, this can also be done through the Thai MoFA, consular department.

If you download Google Chrome and use it as your browser it will translate pages for you automatically.

Google translate is only good for words, for a couple of lines of Thai text it is completely useless.

That depends on the page, I have come across a reasonable number where it can’t translate large parts of the page.
