"Kaleidescope" vision.

Featured Replies

Anyone experienced this? and I don't want hear about your 60's acid trip. I first had an attack a couple of years ago, but seem to get one every couple of months now. It's a horrible feeling where your vision becomes fragmented as though you are looking through broken glass. The problem usually lasts for about 30 minutes. I had an eye test at Bkk Hospital a few months back and other than a small cataract in one eye they said everything is fine. It's a bit of a worry as I dread any kind of vision impairment which could effect driving, reading and watching TV etc. Afaik there are no cures.

I get horrible multi colour visual disturbance with Migraine.

Do you think that might be the cause?

I sometimes get a headache, & very occasionally feel sick.

The majority of the time though, I just have the visuals.

Yes migraine aura most likely. I used to get headaches also not just the aura, no big deal, don't over react and it should pass in 20+ mins

So how do you know it's a migraine if you have no symptoms?

It's a tad scary when it happens, like what if it didn't go away?

it's well known migraines vary and can be without pain. Aura is a classic symptom

It does though, if you stress out I'm convinced it makes it worse. Don't make a drama out of it when it occurs

I normally just chillout in my recliner and listen to some Michael Buble.

if it is a migraine it can be difficult to find the trigger. After 30 years I'm still not sure

There were people like Timothy Leary that were dropping acid every day, have no idea how they coped and didn't go insane.
