The event organising business this year is expected to drop 5 per cent from the current market value of between Bt13 billion and Bt14 billion as a result of the Covid-19 outbreak, Kreingkarn Kanjanapokin, co-chief executive officer of major event organiser Index Creative Village, said on Thursday (February 27).

He added that most events were being rescheduled for the second half of the year from the originally planned second quarter. This might lead to a situation of events getting crammed in the venues late this year, which might force some to be cancelled due to lack of enough venues to serve them all.

Index Creative has targeted revenue growth this year of between 6 and 10 per cent to Bt1.9 billion, as it has backlog of events worth Bt900 million.

I think it's a case of "the angle of the dangle" from which the photo was taken... his fingers are holding the thermometer and away from the face...
