I was in Makro and saw a woman picking through the meat with her hands which I often see.

At Central Chidlom supermarket in BKK, they have a very nice bakery section where they usually have laid out on open counters a variety of fresh baked cakes, cookies, pie slices, etc., all open and unwrapped.

yesterday, for the first time, they had suddenly erected a makeshift plastic wrap cover over the entire area... So..no more customers picking up the items with tongs or their hands, and no more sneezing or coughing over the display.

And that's at an upscale supermarket here.... not a Thai fresh market... Even so, they took their darned sweet time in getting around to what ought to be a common sense precaution virus or no virus.
