First hand account of Corona virus

Recommended Posts

The death rate for covid could increase from 2% to something higher.

They say that the worst case is that hospitals will become overwhelmed and this would increase the death rate for all types of illnesses as you won't be able to get health care for anything.

Are smokers affected more seriously if they contract the Covid-19 virus? Have any figures been published in this regard?

Smoking already weakens your lungs so if you do get the virus, you;ll probably won't make it because this virus attacks the lungs.

I'd imagine because of a weakened immune system from tobacco and chemicals that they would be. That's a good question

Flu kills around 60000 people a year a little Worse than Covid 19  up to now

Technically incorrect, the flu virus, and probably the same will be said for coronavirus, does not actually cause death, fatalities arise from the reaction of the immune system to the presence of the virus.

"But what exactly is a “flu-related death”? How does the flu kill? The short and morbid answer is that in most cases the body kills itself by trying to heal itself.
