Skimmed the article, glanced at the picture—and came straight to comments. Not disappointed ;-)

Dettol is mostly an antibiotic, but this is a virus.

They would have to spray with rubbing alcohol.

Antiseptic, not antibiotic.

Don't drink it thinking its as good as penicillin...

When you think it can't get any worse or ridiculous, welcome to Thailand...

Hub of mind boggling ideas

Indeed - Amazing, spraying water in the air from bangkok roofs, air cleaners stuck on the top of busses, now this, kindergarten children could come up with better ideas! ????

That ammonia smell is not disinfectant you chumps.

Do they even realize how stupid they look?

It would have to be a daily occurrence in Pattaya.

All into the drains.

Then all into the sea.

That's definitely washing your problems away...

Where is the fake news department. Why can't the spray the freelancers as well lol.

That's a bit like the Soi 6 girls taking a shower to protect themselves from HIV.

Before or after.

They get a bit sweaty at the end of the night...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what tourists? Maybe they hadn't noticed that the overwhelming majority of them have gone.

Do you even stay in Pattaya/Jomtien? There are more tourists here now than the last 5 months last year.

They sprayed walking street "all the way down" to Bali Hai pier. That's a very small part of Pattaya.

A really stupid say from a truly stupid mouth. Man has a stupid mouth but has no brains.

Is this assurance coming from the same source as "there is no prostitution in Pattaya"? Just asking ????

OMG do these people believe they have stopped the virus there we will see

I understand what they are actually saying here... (thru history ... How many diseases have they carried that we knew about?? Malaria, Typhoid etc) Seems like everyone missed the Picture!

Yes...

No contact contamination very possibly spread by Mosquito. As a carrier they bite an infected Human, then in their life span how many more are bitten before it dies. In reality how many more are born to continue this carnage?

Spraying one street is not going to solve issue! There needed to be over 200 of these machines fogging not only "All of Pattaya" but the surrounding area as well. Don't forget they will move at the slightest taste of this Toxin... Hopefully they start at the outskirts and move in to center of Town trapping those fleeing in the center of the mist with nowhere to go except Die..

Don't Brag! just finish job! and do it correctly!!

What is the incubation period for eggs to hatch? Got the Picture?? Do the whole thing again every 2 weeks for 2 months. Then you might have cleaned 60% of problem.

Not perfect but one Hell of a Solution!! Better then what we have now.

Good solution at home is the use of 2-3 ARS MAT 12 devices! last 12 hrs, keep them going for a week! As soon as you see Mosquito population decreasing change to Noon to midnight for as long as there is a visible presence. Use Regular or Odorless, no difference.

What has all that got to do with the virus?

" The move was made by the authorities to inspire confidence among tourists that the resort was clean and Covid-19 free. "

Key word: confidence, as in confidence game, often shortened to "con". 'The move was made by the authorities to inspire confidence among the tourists'. There. Properly edited.

Spray farlangs daily , cost only 500 thb .

Another day. Another idiot. Must be safe though. They're not wearing masks from Prayut's factory. Must have run out giving them (care of the taxpayer) to all the students who have just or are about to go on the long break.

It reminds me that the city police did not find any kind of prostitution in the same city a few weeks ago.

How is it that WE all, Expats/foreigners, can find all the 'hookers' that we want? We can spot then a 'mile away'...

And yet...THE 'ROYAL THAI POLICE', an intelligent and professional organization, ( hahaha) can seldom find a prostitute (unless she a Nigerian/foreign hooker???)

Could it be us 'farangs' don't get all those famous 'Brown Envelopes'???     LOL
