Treo 650 (palm)

Featured Replies

I have a treo 650 with palm installed.

I bought it over ebay in Switserland

I took it with me to Thailand

Everything worked perfect for 1 month.

Now I can no more make telephone calls.

I checked with AIS, they say there is no virus in my sim card; they even gave me a brand new sim card to be sure! (great service)

I checked with palm.

They told me to make a hard reset (factory reset) which deletes all the data in the treo.

I did this successfully.

Then I tried to make a call before I synchronized again; so I tried to make a call with a clean factory reset treo 650. Again was my call blocked.

When I type in a telephone number i simply get a short "beep" and there is no connection. The phone jumps back to the dial up screen.

What can I do?

Are there people here that got the same problem?

I was told.....(not sure about the source).... that the problem is because my treo was set up for europe. It worked here only one month because the machine detected that I was out of europe and it blocks now every call I want to make. Don't know about this explanation. Seems strange to me.

Even if it was true, there has to be a solution so that I can use my treo 650 as a telephone again!!!!!

Some help needed.

I have also a Treo 650 and I also bought it in Switzerland. It has been operating here in Thailand since August 2006 without any problems.

Is it possible your phone has a SIM-lock?

My OS Version is v.5.2H
