SURVEY: Did you or anyone you know use the TM28?

Been in Thailand on a single non-imm B visa since 2008. I have completed a single TM28, when I moved from Chiang Mai to Bangkok in 2018. I never completed any for my house moves in Chiang Mai.

 

When TM30 reporting first started being an issue in Chiang Mai, around 2017, my wife reported my residence at her house to the local police. This, and some cake, got her out of the fine for not completing the TM30 previously. She compleeted a new TM30 each time I left the country, and since moving to Bangkok I have completed a TM30 on behalf of my landlord every time I've returned from overseas (she completed the first one when I moved in 2018 at the same time I did the TM28). 

 

Never had to pay a fine, never reported TM28 or TM30 for travel within Thailand.

I filed one when I changed my address. Since that is what it is really for.

At my local IO TM28 is ONLY requested for change of permanent address. I completed one 3 years ago on arrival. Address not changed, no further TM28 required.

 

TM30 however still required on return from abroad or return from another province.
