Well i dont know about Thailand but as far as i heard the test kit with all included procedure in Italy is 120 euro, so in Thailand daily how many tourist from infected zones come? It could be also that they are lowering numbers because they dont want throw money away, the only problem is when there will be too many infected it will cost much more than simple test kit, the healthcare system, economy etc...

Both countries speak the truth.
You just have to know that Thailand does not have the means or more simply does not want to test potential patients.
No test = no sick ...
It's as simple as that.

All countries doing the same. They don't tests all potential suspects. Some recover due to their stronger immune system. When somebody shows high fever for days, they test them.

They have to triage who to test, limited amount of reagents for RT-PCR tests and equipment/staff limits. In some countries there appears to be another restriction - a political one.

Not getting ready would be ridiculous. The death toll in Italy is extremely worrying.

Australia is an example of a hot country with excellent medicine and strong links to China. They currently stand at 3 deaths and 116 infected. Let's see if those numbers increase exponentially in the coming weeks.

We are now at 28 deaths and 5314 confirmed cases, 24 days after my original post. Whilst all deaths are tragic, the increase in deaths has not been exponential in Australia.

Could it be that, for whatever reason, COVID-19 is less deadly in hot countries?
