Of the Thais who returned from South Korea, 240 have been allowed to return to their homes after they tested negative for new coronavirus or Covid-19, Admiral Prachachart Sirisawat, Royal Thai Navy spokesman, said on Friday (March 13).

“We prepared 16 buses to take them to their homes and we have coordinated with Public Health offices in their provinces to monitor their health closely,” he said.

After returning from South Korea since earlier this month, the Thais had been staying at a quarantine facility under the Navy located in Sattahip district in Chonburi province. They were all ‘Phi Noi’, or those who had worked illegally in South Korea by overstaying their travel visa.

“The quarantine facility is still operational and will continue to monitor those who are suspected of infection. We sent some home to reduce crowdedness and increase the efficiency of medical staff,” he added.

Meanwhile, a source from the Ministry of Defence revealed that the ministry is planning to postpone the annual conscription date from April 1-11 to April 16-26.

“This is to allow additional time for conscription stations to prepare the venues and medical staff to screen the candidates to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” said the source.

“Furthermore, those who wish to extend the exemption period, like for instance those who are studying, need not to be present at the conscription stations this year to reduce crowdedness. They can send the appeal online or via mail.”

Tested negative or tested for temperature?

There is a difference!

I'd say the ones working as farmers & laborers have very small chances of catching covid-19 unless they were members of that Korean cult, who are the majority of infected.  Maybe the brothel workers, but I think that the cult was pretty straight-laced.
