Say you're in Thailand for an allotted 60-day period or some short-term deal. 

 

And then the Coronamonster causes Thailand to close borders. 

 

Do you get to stay hassle-free until the borders open?    I mean, if all borders close, what else can a grown boy do?

Immigration's current position is that you need a letter from your embassy stating that you have no reasonable way to return home. On that basis, Immigration will grant you an extension of your permission to stay. Early indications are some some embassies will provide such letters and some will not.
