dialysis treatment

Featured Replies

Hi, a friend of mine needs dialysis treatment in pattaya, does anyone know where he can get it and how much it is, no insurance.  He must visit for personal reasons and asked me for help.  Any help appreciated

It is extremely expensive in private hospitals and government hospitals are usually more than fully booked.  Suggest you contact  Pattaya Memorial Hospital for a quote, will be less expensive than BPH (but still quite expensive)

But he really should reconsider travelling at this time if at all possible.  People on dialysis are especially at risk should they get COVID. And, travel restrictions are continually being applied and increased such that one risks not being able to enter or not being able to return home.

Note that if he is from US or most European countries he faces restrictions on entry as follows:

"All travelers are recommended to implement control for observation (meaning supervision without quarantine) in order to ensure self-monitoring at their residence for no less than 14 days and comply with the recommendations....

They have to obtain permission from the officers for going out of their hotels/residences"

Those are the current restrictions but could change at any time and if they do, will likely be towards being more restrictive.

Or, the country he is from might get reclassified as a "Disease Infected Area" in which case he will nto be allowed in without a health certificate and proof of insurance - and then face 14 days official quarantine as well.

Risk of such reclassification is especially likely for some European countries and USA where numbers are rising fairly fast.

Or Thailand could simply close its borders to foreigners altogether as Malaysia and some other countries have. Really not a good time to be travelling especially for a dialysis patient.
