It is now about 90 days that the Covid 19 Virus first appeared in Wuhan .

In these 90 days the world has changed a lot .

Business is down , financial markets have seen panic sales , governments closing borders while the virus is still spreading .

People have lost their job , are forced to stay indoors now . Many have lost all their income but still need to pay their bills .

They will need to find a way to survive . Governments can provide financial help , but for how long ?

The Government's policy of imposing social distancing will only work for a short time because people will be getting more desperate when being forced to isolate for a longer period of time .

Many factories had to close , leaving their employees without job or income .

If no vaccine can be mass produced in a short time , ( illusionary ) , people will need to get back to work , or social unrest will follow .

People cannot be kept at their homes for a long time , that works for a short time only .

Trump already said that he would prefer to go back to business as usual , because the economic damage would outweigh the damage done by Covid .

Other countries will need to do the same if the virus does not disappear very fast .

That means potentially infected people will need to go back to work and the virus will spread faster ...

Merkel said that she expects about 70 % of a countries population to become infected .

And she might be right with that .

---- " Pornpipat, who under the emergency decree is in charge of security for the newly formed Covid-19 Administration Centre, says a curfew is inevitable if his call falls on deaf ears. Confirmed cases in Thailand passed 1000 yesterday.

He says people must change their behaviours and above all stay home, before case numbers spike and the situation is out of control. " ---

Stay at home , ok , but it will be damn difficult to enforce this for , let's say , 2 month ...?

---- " The US now has more confirmed cases of coronavirus than any other country, with more than 85,500 positive tests.

Mr Trump has set a much-criticised goal of Easter Sunday, 12 April, for reopening the country. That plan seemed to gather impetus on Thursday as it emerged an unprecedented 3.3 million Americans have been laid off because of the virus.

At Thursday's briefing, he said: "They [the American people] have to go back to work, our country has to go back, our country is based on that and I think it's going to happen pretty quickly.

Mr Trump wrote of a "long battle ahead" and said "robust" testing protocols might allow some counties to lift their safeguards against the coronavirus. " ----

----" The latest US unemployment numbers were predicted to be catastrophic. The actual total, 3.3 million, turned out to be even worse than expected.

The record-breaking amount reflects a US economy put into deep-freeze almost overnight. The government-ordered shutdown hasn't just shuttered businesses temporarily, it has vaporised the jobs of millions of Americans - many of whom are the particularly vulnerable hourly service workers who live paycheque to paycheque. "----

PARIS: The death toll from the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the globe could hit 1.8 million worldwide this year even with swift and stringent measures to stop it, according to a study from Britain's Imperial College published Thursday.

Researchers estimate that tens of millions of lives could be saved if governments act fast to adopt strict public health measures, including testing, quarantining and broad social distancing.

Well, which is it?

Such psychedelic, conflicting statistics explain why nobody believes experts any more.

I love the stupid advices of Trump as he is medical doctir, virologists,  epedemic expert: for me he is the president without any expertise in anything. Look at the faces of the guys standing behind or beside his press conferences. There you can read how stupid all his comments are. He is one of the worst leader of a country in this world! Better he shut up and go back where he came from!

Trump has no expectation of opening the whole country for work by April 12- this has not been reported properly by many news outlets which hate him. He is asking his task force to identify areas where this can safely be done based on hard statistics involving testing and the number of positive cases. I don’t believe he will go against the advice of Drs. Fauci and Birx when making this important decision but I see the country opening up gradually based on sound data.

I would not buy your conclusions.

You forgot the recovery rate.

So there will be only an intermediate interuption in business. However with a sharp recession
