Jonathan Fairfield
Website for cash handouts 'can process 3.48m transactions a minute' Charnkrit Dejwituk The new website catering to those eligible for government cash handouts can serve 3.48 million transactions in one minute and would not overload, the vice minister to the prime minister, Charnkrit Dejwituk, said. "Rao Mai Ting Kan" is a registration channel for people affected by the Covid-19 situation who will receive Bt5,000 from the government for three months. The registration will open from Saturday (March 28), 6pm. “The website can serve 58,000 transactions at the same time, and 3.48 million per minute,” he said. “Krungthai Bank will use artificial intelligence to screen the eligible persons, in line with the government’s criteria, from total registration, preventing permission to criminals,” he added. The vice minister, moreover, said that the Finance Ministry would seek a bigger budget from the government if the number of eligible people is higher than the estimate. Popular Post cornishcarlos
I think the "m" in the headline was a typo.. 3.48 a minute is more achievable.. 6
Popular Post rabas
After 20 years, Immigration software is still barely functional. Doesn't have a clue what my new passport number is 3 years after renewal. Now they will trust artificial intelligence to correctly identify 3 million unregistered people per minute? I want to try! 5

TallGuyJohninBKK
The last time the govt did a handout like this, my wife tried pretty much daily at all hours of the day and night to access the website where she needed to register for that...and never was able to accomplish it... the website every time said something to the effect of, already fully registered for the day, try again tomorrow. Even if you tried accessing it at 12:01 am. And that was just sometime in the past year. 1

DrTuner
Good thing they used m and not M. I can fully believe they can make a wesite that handles 0.348 transactions per minute. Popular Post eisfeld
The website is failing already and throwing errors before you even access the form. Not surprising after boasting of the scalability like that. Sorry but it's just silly to give numbers like these when in the past all the websites from the government showed to be extremely buggy, hard to use and broken many times. Sigh. Seems like a background request to the API for /api/inquiry/quota is failing with a 502 error. They are hosting with Google so in theory server capacity should be a solvable problem. I'd actually volunteer to help them with these things as I have relevant experience but no idea how I would go about contacting them or if they would accept help from a foreigner. My artificial knee joint tells me that there's something wrong with their artificial intelligence. But it does make sense. If these people don't get their intelligence from the artificial educational system, there's no way to have intelligent people, nor smart banks.
