A nine year old child in the care of Chonburi social services told staff that five years ago her stepfather attacked and murdered her mother and buried her at the Sawang Phon cemetery in Saensuk district.

"A" had been dumped at the children's home by her step-father Lertsak, 49, after he had been unable to cope with her stubbornness, reported 77kaoded. Police said that Lertsak and "A" had been selling flowers together at Pattaya and Bang Saen beaches and other places.

After being tight lipped about her relationship with Lertsak for two days the child told social services that he had killed her mother Somneuk when she was 22, five years ago.

The staff at the home took the claim seriously and the provincial and local police were informed. A Saensulk municipality backhoe working for six hours eventually found bones and clothing fragments. DNA checks are underway to ascertain if they are the remains of Somneuk.

Lertsak claims his wife had an accident but being so poor he and relatives just buried her to avoid costs.

Wikhrit, 63, the mother of the dead woman, said Lertsak told her that his wife had disappeared and he had not heard from her again.

Both Lertsak and Somneuk were relatives who secretly had sexual relations with eachother, Wikhrit revealed after being questioned about her surname being the same as Lertsak.

Saensuk police are holding Lertsak on human trafficking charges before the DNA results come in.

after getting educated on human trafficking and personally knowing a lovely innocent gal that was trafficked by her boyfriend aka pimp i have a sore spot for the despicable trade.  luckily she largely broke away but went through hell .

labor and/or sex exploitation is the modern day satan

Had to read this article twice to understand what was what.

This is like some crazy Hillbilly drama, with all the twists.

Kudos to "A" that she finally could get this horrible secret out in the open, and hope that she is not to mentally scarred.

Sure, except bringing in America .  Maybe I am too sensitive; do other Nations have Hillbilly?

A search would quickly reveal that pretty much every country has a sector of society similar to what US folks call hillbillies.

Walk around some hypermart type stores in Australia and you'll often enough see these folks, they are not necessarily bad, just different.
