The Department of Employment (DOE) will recruit 300 informal workers who have lost their jobs due to the Covid-19 outbreak for 45 days at a daily wage of Bt300. These people will be hired as staff assistants.

Suchat Pornchaiwiseskul, director-general of DOE, said on Tuesday (April 14) that those interested can submit their education documents and application form at the Bangkok Employment Office Areas 1 to 10 as well as at Provincial Employment Offices nationwide during working hours from April 15 to 17.

“Applicants have to provide a copy of their certificate and transcript to prove they are qualified for the position along with their original ID card,” he said.

“Since a lot of people are interested in this scheme, the department wants to emphasise that the process will be done transparently, fairly and equally,” he added. “Those who qualify should be ready to perform their duties from April 27.”

Seemed to have missed a few zero's. Thoso who qualify. I wonder what qualifications informal workers have and what qualifications they're looking for. Uni students more than likely.

That'll make a huge dent in the number of people left penniless and jobless.
