Central malls ready to open on May 1 if government gives the green light

Central Group is prepared to reopen its shopping malls on May 1 if the lockdown order is lifted by the government.

An emergency decree stipulates that shopping malls must be closed until April 30 and Central said it was awaiting the new announcement.

The company said on April 18 that its priority was still the safety of clients and employees during the pandemic and it would continue to strictly follow the government’s measures.

Here in upcountry tourists/expats are a dwindling minority in luxury/expensive malls.

And most of the Thai people are not in the class of 5000 Baht handouts and free food.

I bet their upper class credit cards will survive the crisis.

It will more likely be places like BigC, Tesco etc. that might suffer.

Large areas of these malls were quite uncrowded before.  The busier shops were the supermarkets and fast food takeaways which have been open anyway.

47 dead, as I write.  Millions worried about how their lives can be put back together again.

Only 793 people currently suffering from this flu. all others have recovered (except those unfortunate 47 souls) .

By May 1 there may not be anyone in thailand with the virus, and those that had it will have all recovered.

I say open massage parlors and all bars, yet space everything 2 meters apart and all "service" staff wears masks and disposable gloves.

If someone coughs or sneezes you shut everything down and test everyone.  Anyone who tests positive for the flu gets a free quarantine at an undisclosed location for 2 weeks

You fake statistics, the next step you open malls and other places. A receipt for disaster.

Take peoples temperatures at the entrance(already being done in Pattaya), force hand washing and sanitizing of customers, and anyone not wearing a mask gets a strait jacket and is sent to quarantine inside a bat cave.

No more covidiots who think they are immune and not infecting others
