The Pattaya Covid-19 page on Facebook featured a story about a Thai disaster mitigation foundation working with Pattaya police to keep the beaches free of people during the pandemic.

Several pictures showed drones being deployed on the beaches of the resort.

Fitted with loudspeakers it appeared that the drones were helping to ensure that people were obeying the signs erected after the beach bans were announced.

The story said that people were obeying the rules about congregating on the beach.

Surely there is enough police in that photo to ensure regulations are adhered to, when kind people are donating food to the needy, rather than send them home hungry ?

Or, maybe, playing with their new toys (drones) is more important !

From May 1, people hope some restrictions will be lifted. Access to beach and alcohol ban (not neccessary in that order) are expected by most.

Done my best to Stay Home, but boredom and weight gain due to lack of exercise are now obvious.

If the low number of new infected are for real, will some restrictions be lifted?

May 1 we will know.

Ha Anything to avoid manual labour...I watched as 4 sat in their truck trying to shame a crowd away pleading over the loudspeaker and flashing their lights..no way in hell were those lazy cops walking over to talk to the crowd....

Quote from an earlier press article:-

"Manager said there were about 20 stranded foreign tourists on a several kilometer stretch of Samui's "most beautiful beach".

They were all observing social distancing and some were swimming"

If people can go the beach in Samui, why not in Pattaya???
