INN reported on the case of a 71 year old homeless man who was attacked and robbed of his wallet outside a bookshop by two young men in Nakhon Sawan Road, Bangkok earlier in the week.

The social development and human security ministry has been instrumental in working with welfare agencies to help the victim, said INN.

He already has a new ID card to replace the one stolen and will be treated according to provisions in the Homeless Persons' Act.

He is currently recovering in a shelter for the homeless.
