British man arrested after woman brutally murdered in Pattaya

 

 

A British man has been arrested after a woman was found brutally murdered in Pattaya.

 

Police say the 48 year old man admitted battering the woman with a pool cue before stabbing her with a machete.

 

He told officers he picked the woman up  near Soi Bukhao on Wednesday evening and took her back to his house in Banglamung district where they took ya ice and had sex. 

 

On Thursday morning the pair woke up and began arguing and a short time later the murder took place.

 

After fleeing the scene the man crashed his motorbike on a nearby soi. It was while he was at hospital receiving treatment that officers became suspicious of his behaviour and visited his home where they discovered the body of the woman.

 

Photos shared by Thai media showed a broken pool cue and large amount of blood on the floor at the man’s house.

 

The man remains in custody while officers continue to investigate.

 

Some Thai media reported the man was Icelandic, Thaivisa understands the man to be from Northern Ireland.

I wouldnt want to be going where he is, this is another shocking story, RIP to the girl.

He's a 48 year old drug ridden waster. You really think he'll reach 78 in a Thai monkey house?

We have drug taking.

We have a confession.

We have photos.

We have international reporting.

Kind of hard not to believe it happened.  As to the why suspect current world conditions may have played its ugly part rather than it being planned - but that it happened seems to be believable by reasonable people.

 

Another incident of the horrors that Yaba, or pure meth or a host of other drugs inflict on people.

 

If only this was an isolated event, but we all know it's not!

Calm down sun shine. This was Wednesday evening. If he hasn't sobered up by now, he must have been on some powerful s#*t. 

If it is proved beyond any doubt that the farrang arrested is guilty he should have the death penalty, If he receives a long term prison sentence  theres always the possibility that the powers that be here, in their infinite wisdom, once again will allow thousands of prisoners to be released or have their sentences shortened. He dont deserve that opportunityใ

What I find interesting is the way posters here lump all Thai men together when a Thai guy does something like this.  Fragile Thai male ego, and such.

 

But they run for the hills to differentiate themselves from their countryman when one of them does it.  Not a word about the fragile Irish male ego...

He picked up a woman who is dead, in his room

You want to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I say if, he stayed in his room (not picked up a girl) the woman would still be alive.

Having never done hard drugs - even smoked them - is it normal that a bar girl will come back to your hotel/condo and do hard drugs with you ? Would have thought she would have had more sense.

And how do you know that this woman had never done drugs or even smoked them before this incident? She is reported to be a Pattaya prostitute.

Pretty shocking ... I’ve met quite a lot of decent expats in Pattaya, but unfortunately it also attracts an assortment of scumbags.
