Every other seat on aircrafts to be left empty for the next 18 mths +( socially distancing) ,,,, (so seat more expensive)   ....which mean no cheap Charlie and 2 two week millionaires  coming to Pattaya in the foreseeable future ..it's not looking Rosie for a quick return to normality.

Beautiful Blond sitting in first class, is told by the stewart that she does not have a first class ticket and should bo back to her seat in economy

Not knowing what to do the head stewart asks the pilot for advice .

   The pilot goes back and whispers something in the blonds ear, at which point the blond jumps up and  hurries back to her seat in economy 

Curious the steward asks the pilot what did he tell her?

Well , the pilot says I told her that first class does not go to Thailand!!????

 

So if the co pilot is blond, he can not seat in first class.

It's pointless and silly, leaving every other seat empty does nothing. If you want to be precise there needs to be 1.5 meters between each person which would be impossible as you would have a plane occupancy of 20%. Only logical option is to provide masks for each passenger and ask them to wear it for the duration of the flight (unlikely that would last long either)

Distancing on an airplane?  No way.  They recirculate air so much that you'd be lucky to get enough oxygen on a long flight.  I'll travel in the strapped to the wing class, thank you.

When all this Covid 19 kicked off i had booked two flights up country for Songkhran

we were all set and then they cancelled all buses and then flights, this week they

lifted restrictions and i had a look at the domestic flights, most where 3 x times the

usual price, they say in both airports and planes they will be using social distancing

and every other seat on flights would be empty, it looks like the passengers would

be paying, as the return of the money i had already paid for flights was being disputed

i rang the call center and within ten mins i had two flights at the old prices....no fee's

no extra's, so Nok Air went up a notch in my book ,as not all are taking this path and

some are even disputing refunds for flights cancelled in Europe,

full face masks gloves will be the attire and maybe a couple of weeks chilling in the

village (94 F) but we have laid down supplies...and as an old mate used to say

''when you'r marching your not fighting''

If this happens and prices go through the roof ,very very few people will travel ,so the airlines will get even less money ,take me for example i go back to the UK once a year ,about 600 quid , up the price to say 1200 ,i wont go back ,how many thousands are like me?

Good thing actually IMO. Less pollution of the stratosphere, no new airports need building ( Heathrow expansion should be well and truly dead ), no chaos at airport security checks, no chavs ruining nice beaches in LOS, flashpacker palaces that ruined Thai beaches go out of business. Might be nice to have a holiday on a Thai beach again.

Stop pointing out reality. It doesn't fit the narrative.

 

Perhaps Greta was able to get them to do it as will make flights too expensive for most, so less flights.

 

Remember charter flights? They might make a comeback as cheaper than normal, if one doesn't mind the <deleted> planes we flew on. I had a bonus day in Istanbul once when the plane broke down over Turkey. Visited St Sophia and had lunch in the Topkapi Palace restaurant. Marvellous view of the Bosphorous.

In the US domestic system we are running 15 percent load factor although there are no set rules they are keeping middle seats as open as possible, and blocking rows to the rear in case anybody gets sick in flight and needs to be isolated in flight.  Our operation just started a mask requirement. 

 

Rather than block half the seats it would be more likely the carriers provide everyone full PPE kits, which of course you will pay for in higher ticket prices. A nice souvenir of your journey! Social distancing on planes is only possible now because they are empty. It simply is not feasible long term in Thailand or any other market, or necessary as other risk mitigation strategies will be employed.

Using trains and buses, it takes 3d7h to get from BKK to Dalian, China. The train from there takes 4d16h to reach Moscow.

 

Then it's 37h of trains to London. Total travelling time just shy of 10 days, total cost around 40-65k baht.

Allowing people crowding at Makro market (like experienced yesterday).

Forcing people to crowded queues for food and money donation.
