Bangkok Airways is offering medical staff a 20-percent reduction on fares for domestic travel. The offer covers ordinary and promotional fares for all routes within Thailand and is available to doctors, nurses and medical technicians.

Reservations can be made from May 6 to July 31 for travel between May 15 and July 31.

A valid medical ID card must be presented at the check-in counter.

Thailand’s medics have been on the front line of a battle against the Covid-19 pandemic that began in January.

Sure.

IMHO a 20% discount for medical staff is an insult. And the reality is probably not many medical folks travelling often domestic by air.

The owner of this airline is a billionaire, he should be ashamed of his so generous contribution.

I hope that Asia airlines get going cautiously and are successful.

Did you know that in America the domestic airlines are still operating

but people are scared to fly. Well Duh, as America is not even to its

peak yet.  I would rather fly in Asia any day than to go to America in a car

a bus or a plane. Just hearing from South West tonight and they are

talking about using masks and spaced seating. Wow!  I think America needs

a lot of help, but I will not be one to go there to help them. Good Luck

Thailand, I hope some International travel starts by this Fall, for the

brave travellers.

Geezer

Yes indeed - typical of this airline! I went to book a "special offer' ticket on-line direct from Chiang Mai to Rangoon and having completed flight and my personal details, when I "hit the button" to pay, the total shocked me and was way above what I expected with a range of "fees", taxes and "fuel cost"!! I aborted the booking and flew far cheaper with Air Asia "Fly-Thru" albeit via DMK and not direct.
