they understand the wave is not coming from the ocean, right?

  • How can there be a second wave when the first was a mere ripple?

So people spaced out on a beach with a nice sea breeze is a health hazard to spread the virus, maybe I'm too cynical. The only 2nd wave will be the waves hitting the sand.

Who would want to go on that beach anyway, and run the risk of standing on a dirty needle on a broken Chiang bottle?

Can you post any link to substantiate your ridiculous claim...........

Junkies hanging about there all night and mashing bottles all over the shot . Seen them with my own eyes.
It's not exactly a family friendly type of beach now is it?

Buy some flip-flops!

Close the beaches because scared of a second wave but in the meantime the country is taking the spreaders and causers of the virus of the hotspot lists so they can welcome them back in as soon as possible ????

ridiculous!

yes, have patrols to stop people gathering and socialising

but why on earth stop people walking on the beach?

absolutely ridiculous

I walk on the beach in Hua Hin at least 4 times a week for a couple of hours.

Everybody social distances, Pattaya is just ridiculous

SERIOUSLY DUMB, heat & sunlight kills cov19, for starters, BEACHES really? Look at buses, BTS sky trains and the Klong ferry boats all packed like sardines.

Its OVER, sensationally low cases and death rate thanks to Buddha/God. Many medicines to cure it now hydroxchloroquine azrithomycin etc etc, MOVE ON and get the Thai economy opened, 5,000 baht  Gov alleged handout was a HOAX, who got it? Open the Malls and stop the ridiculous 10pm to 4 am curfew! Help the poor Thais to survive.

Has a Geezer called Canute dreamed this cobblers up.

The idea is to stop the Thais congregating en masse on the beach to eat and drink under the umbrellas.  Wouldn't it be easier to simply state no more than 2 people can sit together.  Now they'll have the same ludicrous situation as we have here in Hua Hin where on Hua Hin side people can swim and kiteboard and on Cha Am side 20 meters away people can't go on the beach.

I was gonna say yeah just keep shooting yourselves in both feet this time but to be honest I don’t even know if this article is true because of all the rest of the fake news I’ve read on here and I don’t live anywhere near Pattaya. What I do know is our city has been pretty much opened all month but it ain’t a tourist town. In the United States we have a few stubborn governors but aside from that the United States has already started opening and a few states like NY were worse off than Thailand.

That is true. They closed a lot of national parks also, which are one of the best places to get away from crowds of people....
The fact is, no one even practices social distancing in supermarkets.
The sooner they get this vaccine the better so we can just get back to normal.

It,s almost as if someone is trying to completely destroy Pattaya ????

Total nonsense.  I watch a big yellow tractor thing clean the beach every morning.  It's being cleaned right now.  Pattaya Beach is being kept clean and has been for some time now.  And, no, it hasn't washed away, either.

They don't want to waste any easing of restrictions on mere left-behind farangs.

Beaches closed in France as well you get one hour out per day ,1km from your home ,if  police stop you and you have done more fine is 1 135 ,2 3500 euros , 3 6 months prison ,thats control ,what i dont understand. ,is why  there are not so many people that are dead in thailand as europe  ,USA and Russia.  ,seems. great western countries are the worst UA and UK. to be ,so best be happy in the Land of the smiles

Stopping people from enjoying the beach and fresh air is ridiculous.  After sunset makes more sense. No drinking and eating or gathering after dark would be a tad bit more understandable.  No beach but they are allowing people to gather at gather at restaurants and hundreds of people are out walking and exercising in the evening on the narrow sidewalks. Just to much over reaching reaction with no thought or commonsense.  Thailand is not alone in the lack of commonsense arena just look at California and other US cities. Sure it's the same in other countries as well.

A certain class of bureaucratic imbeciles seem to believe that SARS-Cov-2 breeds in the sands of beaches.

Plandemic didn't work out as planned it seems

Good riddance.

Is this the "NEW NORMAL" that every news channel is talking about?

If so I dont want any part of it.

Mass control of peoples rights to go for a walk and get some fresh air...?

Please let us all regain sanity!

It’s a good way to block people from activities on the beach which could very enhance immune system and health, there is no other place than beach where you can avoid the smoke and traffic of the annoying smoking and screaming modified vehicles where the owners of those always thinks the others also enjoy it just like they do. They go anywhere out of rules including parks and walking areas the only reason there is no traffic on they beach and they don’t come there is because of the deep sand of they vehicles could go in the sea they would use it as a part of mai road too because they are too lazy to make a single step without a machine. So our last hope is the beach which is off.

I don't understand the logic of banning people on beaches. Who is advising these people?

Now its just come down to being vindictive because to many people hurt fragile egos when orders to not use the beach have been ignored on a mass scale.....

Don't know the reason but people are being arrested in Hawaii and Mass  USA for using beaches.
