Thai media 77kaoded reported that cabinets have been springing up all over Chiang Mai to help the needy.

The idea is that those with food to spare during the coronavirus pandemic will leave items for those less fortunate to use during the crisis that has left many people desperate.

The "Happy Sharing Cabinets" are in front of hotels and businesses. The media reported on eight places where this was happening.

They said in their report that Thais were not forgetting each other in times of need.

They alluded to the traditions of years past when householders would set up free drinking water outside their homes.

Years ago it used to be rainwater for people passing to drink then as society became more developed it started to be small eskies with cold water and ice sometimes with jasmine flowers floating in it or scented with aromatic flavorings.

The tradition of helping each other was alive and well in the northern capital of Thailand.

Still do in the villages for various parades.

People are evil and rules need to be enforced upon them even for giveaways....

must have limits and supervised

that’s why thai homes are built with concrete and not wood....

Awesome... a very kind gesture for this in need..
