Are you now stating you do not recall them, or are you stating you never added BTW The NY Times is a credible reference, when the reference being criticized was actually a reference from The Chattanooga Free Press, which If you had bothered to follow the link you would have had that knowledge, Your reply to Mama Noodle accused him of not not reading the post, your assumption being made because he arrived at a different conclusion and you made this assumption without and supporting evidence. However for the moment that is out with Trump starting a war on China, and in stead of doing it together with his allies he alienated them by putting tariffs in place on them at the same time and with other, more political decisions. He underestimated China, overestimated the US and his USA first policy has resulted in USA alone. What allies do you have in mind? And to do what exactly? Blast them off of their self made Islands in the South China sea? Base an Aircraft carrier in Taiwan? Build Navys to patrol. All for it. Let me know who signs up. 3 1 1

How am I denying what they report? China is vested in nefarious reporting to keep their currency and economy stable. Any more water you feel like carrying? 1

Popular Post crobe Posted May 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2020 If Trump really wanted to show he is a man with balls who would take on China there are three things he could do before the he leaves office at the end of the year which would cement his legacy and alter the geo-political landscape. 1) Scrap the one-china policy 2) Unilaterally recognize Taiwan as an independent state 3) Create a second tier of "5-eyes" military intelligence cooperation - not as deep as the current 5-eyes with UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but focused on the east Asia region and including Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan and India. He was willing enough to make the grand political gestures of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the annexed settlements as this only angered some Palestinians and their friends who cannot retaliate, but does he have the guts to make a similar move against a bigger adversary. 3 1 1
Popular Post bendejo Posted May 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2020 Kicking up dust to distract from the mounting infection/death toll at home. Yeah sure, people are more concerned about China treaties than they are about their family members catching the virus. Also cloud cover for the Flynn legal scandal and the upcoming Supreme Court case involving his personal financial history. The tantrum at a press conference today is pretty telling. 3 1 1

Popular Post Relocated Posted May 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2020 Not too long ago Chinese sold human organs removed from executed prisoners. That showed the real Chinese, not the Great Wall or Confucian. And the outrage of western democratic society about the inhumane practice stopped that trade. It is how the political transition is performed to define America as America. Carry on personal hatred on and on is not the proper way for mature person to behave. We have opportunity to exercise our right to pick whoever each wants. Whether we like it or not, we have to respect the final result. That is American democracy, not everlasting whining, bickering, moaning. Grow up. 1

Of course, the American people see that, and his numbers continue to drop. However, he has screwed up the response to Covid to such a spectacular degree, that there is no return from that disaster. The only other response to a tragedy that comes even close, was Bush and Katrina. However, Trump has already succeeded in making Bush appear to be a man of near nobility, and very presidential in comparison, with his daily nonsense and diatribes. Squabbling is the only play Don Donald has in his book. It is his entire M.O. There is nothing else. He is the very definition of an empty suit. Only eight months to go, before he is ushered out of Washington, in a very unceremonious manner, into a life of absolute obscurity and humiliation, and seriously declining fortunes. 2
