Bloomberg and Reuters reported that they will have a decline in exports - China reported an INCLINE in exports. 

 

How am I denying what they report? China is vested in nefarious reporting to keep their currency and economy stable.

If Trump really wanted to show he is a man with balls who would take on China there are three things he could do before the he leaves office at the end of the year which would cement his legacy and alter the geo-political landscape.

1) Scrap the one-china policy

2) Unilaterally recognize Taiwan as an independent state

3) Create a second tier of "5-eyes" military intelligence cooperation - not as deep as the current 5-eyes with UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, but focused on the east Asia region and including Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan and India. 

 

He was willing enough to make the grand political gestures of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the annexed settlements as this only angered some Palestinians and their friends who cannot retaliate, but does he have the guts to make a similar move against a bigger adversary.

Nobody unleashed a virus, but I do agree that the China origin will not help China. Although they seem to have a big headstart with recovery on the western countries.

Wouldn't all that also refer to US? Perhaps except for the last bit on losing soft power due to Trump's inane foreign policies. All said, both countries are at different stage of distress and it is really a zero sum game to go after each other in the middle of a pandemic.

Trump and his BOB (bottom of the barrel) team, have already decided that Covid is killing him politically, and they simply need to change the topic. Of course, the American people see that, and his numbers continue to drop. However, he has screwed up the response to Covid to such a spectacular degree, that there is no return from that disaster. The only other response to a tragedy that comes even close, was Bush and Katrina. However, Trump has already succeeded in making Bush appear to be a man of near nobility, and very presidential in comparison, with his daily nonsense and diatribes.
