That was last year, after the hoohah about TM30s etc

I think he will need to do another one in a couple of months to explain the new amendments that might possibly appear on the back of Covid re-opening.

Yes you are probably right about that. BUT for me, I feel that it anyhow was a good reminder for Thailand, that there are people (falangs) being upset over the "extra" treatment we are getting, when it comes to complicate things for us when it comes to living here...

He touches on many relevant points, I think the message has been delivered clearly enough, about not being wanted, (and the senders on the back of the enveloped are hoping others shall adopt their attitude),

I think the "Retirement" label is past history, and the situation is stressful for those who still consider it is a stable ongoing viable option.

It's now just a longer visit visa, because a person may be retired.

Anyone that asked/asks me about "retirement", since Oct 2019, I would respond that the option is not offered anymore, by Custom & Practice. The potential of sudden regulation changes suggested in the video would not make much odds overnight (     ), until a few years of revised Custom & Practice, uniformity of regulation etc. had been demonstrated.

Of course there will still be those hit by the great first impression, burn their boat on the beach, and then read the notice on the palm tree later.

But anyone ???? planning Retirement ????........????

A post lock-down video, should be interesting...

A long-winded, rambling video IMHO. Clearly he is of the "Why only use one word when a hundred will do?" school of thought. I somehow doubt whether the attention span of any big-wig in the Immigration Bureau, to whom this video appears to be targeted, is likely to last anywhere near as long as 15 minutes!

I like the "Exorbident" American spelling. And I don't believe that the current required are exorbitant. But they are so poorly implement that they become a lose/lose feature.

Don't see why COVID should cause long term changes to long term visa rules? Short term issues have been handled rather elegantly by T.I.

I'd prefer they don't touch anything in their system as they totally lack "Business Process" skills and consistently mess up the implementation of legitimate new requirements.
