This statement shows exactly how out of touch and ill informed people are who go making judgements and opinions as to Thailand's sex industry.

 

Ten 15 years ago the girls were scampering to get the bus fare and a job start to get into the business be it Pattaya, Phuket or Bangkok.  To tens of thousands of Isaan girls there wasn't, nor possible still isn't an alternative to making quick easy money.  Still today up there you're lucky to earn 400Bt a day 9,000Bt a month.  Everyday I see young attractive women grafting in 40c heat on building sites up in Udon.  

 

All the factories hotels and other business that employ girls legitimately throughout out Thailand, do you seriously think these girls get back home to their kids and families on a regular basis ?!?!

I go window shopping there, and some are surprisingly cute, though I wouldn't say unusual; but in all these years I've never selected one from the street (Thermae, yes, but that's different). But I talked to one on 4 and accused her of being too young, and she swore 21; so be careful.
