Annual travel insurance for worldwide coverage
I think that the maximum travel medical benefit on offer from insurers based in Thailand is around 4 or 5 million baht. AXA Thailand tops out at 4 million baht and AIG at 5. I would prefer the local operations of multinational companies as opposed to purely Thai insurers. Higher limits may be on offer from EU, UK, or US-based insurers. Policies from non-Thai insurers may be broader in coverage as well and you may have access to better consumer protection and regulatory regimes. If you are looking for higher limits and potentially broader coverage, then reputable EU/UK/US insurers are probably the way to go. I recommend finding a good insurance broker outside of Thailand to help you. Also, whether you use a broker or go direct to an insurer, make sure the insurer has a good financial strength rating from Standard and Poor or AM Best. There are some entities offering insurance coverage to expatriates that are of questionable financial strength and which may or may not adhere to standard industry practices. -

Trump’s Pro-Israel Cabinet Choices Leave Muslim Supporters Feeling Betrayed
Correct. People reliant on the Affordable Care Act voted for Trump, as did low income diabetics reliant on the fixed price of insulin, along with people working in Biden’s company infrastructure projects and too people’s who’s old age relies upon Social Security. Time to suck it up. -

Cycle Lane chaos...
Today I witnesses a staggering display of poor judgment, authorities have implemented a plan announced just last week to introduce cycle lanes on Bangkok’s roads - an idea that already raised eyebrows and has now created complete traffic chaos. The chosen site for this trial of "urban innovation" is Prom-Chit Alley, a two-lane sub-soi connecting Sukhumvit 39 and Sukhumvit 33, home to popular establishments like L’Opera restaurant and Cocotte. What was once a functional dual-lane road has now been reduced to a single lane, with the other coned off to create a dedicated cycle lane. The glaring question remains: how are cyclists expected to even reach this lane? no one knows. Meanwhile, the fallout is clearly visible, with disruption turning into extraordinary gridlock that has spilled over onto Petchaburi and Sukhumvit, roads leaving drivers stuck for hours. Ironically, the cycle lane itself already has become a haven not for cyclists; there are none, but for food carts and motorcycles, which now already occupy the space. This ill-conceived scheme is nothing short of a masterclass in incompetence, transforming an already congested area into a traffic nightmare. I'm astonished at the stupidity and complete lack of awareness of the impact this was going to cause to wider traffic patterns of an already heavily congested area. Trump's 'huge lie' shows 'he’s taking everyone for an idiot': analysis
The definition of the economy is broad and also includes the very important Inflation index and government dept. Under old sleepy Joe, Inflation has skyrocketed to historic levels. Government dept is also the highest its ever been under any President. So Trump is not a liar in this regard but speaks the truth. -

Intoxicated Monk Arrested for Hitchhiking and Extorting Donation in Chiang Rai
A peculiar incident unfolded in Chiang Rai yesterday as a monk, noticeably intoxicated, found himself on the wrong side of the law. The 44-year-old was arrested after coercing a donation from a young motorist and exhibiting unsettling manners. The unusual episode prompts a broader discourse on propriety, religion, and the law. The events began to stir when Nichawee, a 20-year-old resident of Thung Ko in Chiang Rai, drove down to a tea plantation in Sri Kham. En route, she encountered a hitchhiking monk along the roadside. Obliging to his request for a lift, Nichawee soon discerned a pungent alcohol smell from the monk, invoking suspicion. The situation took an unusual turn as the monk, failing to specify a clear destination, asked Nichawee to stop by another monk on their way. To add to the conundrum, he then requested a donation of 790 baht (£17) under the pretence of replacing a damaged pilgrimage umbrella. Constrained by her financial capacity, Nichawee handed over 500 baht before proceeding on her journey. Disturbed by the unsettling experience, she reported the incident to the Mae Chan Police Station. Responding to Nichawee's distress call, officers from the Pha Mieng checkpoint set out to pinpoint the monk on the Mae Salong Nai public road. They found Areek Khuntiwaro, noticeably inebriated, struggling to maintain coherence. The alcohol stench was evident, thereby validating the young motorist's concern. Having admitted to consuming three bottles of Phaya Nak, a popular alcoholic beverage, Areek was escorted to Wat Pa Sang Luang for defrocking before being formally arrested and transferred to the Mae Chan Police Station for legal action. This peculiar episode underscores the unusual intersection of spirituality, morality, and the law. Concerns over religious propriety have heightened, with a monk's alcoholic hitchhiking trip leading to an arrest, an experience that a Chiang Rai motorist will not forget anytime soon.
