I will just go up to Khorat monday morning without any preparations, and just follows whatever happens..

Another bad plan.  If you go and the doctor you require is unavailable you waste the trip.

Call the hospital on the telephone to get an appointment.

Since the OP lives so far away from the hospital, he may wish to consider booking into a hotel the night before the procedure so he doesn't have to drive to the hospital to morning of the procedure after having done his prep.  They may even be willing for him to check into the hospital the day before to do the prep there, under the supervision of nurses, especially if he is elderly.

Has he had a colonscopy before and had good feedback on how well he did his prep?  In the U.S. I had three procedures and always received feedback that I hadn't done a good job on prep, even though I followed the instructions to the letter.  With the second and third procedures, I brought this up in advance and they just gave me their standard prep instructions without any modifications.

I guess somepeople just have stubborn colons.  Finally, the doctor at Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai listened about my history with poor prep results and developed a five day plan of diet modification with two days of clear liquids prior to the procedure and extra doses of laxative the night before.  Bingo.  My colonoscopy showed a totally clear result.  I've never been so proud of an internal organ when I watched the video.

Hi Guys again,

I did notice some irritation from one of you guys. Plse be not!! I am happy for the support, and no I had no appointment, My own plan was to be at 09.00 in Khorat nothing more.

Well here it is then.. I left this morning, came into just minutes to see a specialist. By the way I am talking about BKK hospital in Khorat... This specialist was a really nice guy that seems to be confident and knowing what he was doing. He did ask a lot of questions, and ask for my history. And he did check me up little bit.

he then told me that he will find out what the problem was, and that I am scheduled for the 24th of june (next wednesday at 08.00...

The procedure in this case is that I stop some of my medicines at certain times/days before 24th. And also that I can not drink anything after midnight the day before.....

The medication to empty the colon will all be done that morning and later on that day after I am finished this <deleted>ting, they will do both a colonoskopy and a Gastroscopy to check things up....

He then send me to the Cardiologist because I am on bloodthinners..... Who confirmed that he as well will be on stand by during my procedure......

So this was all today, and hopefully I am now on my way to full recovery from this <deleted>-business....

Have had a few colonoscopies in my time because of a "slow digestive system" and found them to be fine and painless. The clearing out laxative taken the night before going in really worked like a turbo-charger.....wow, surprising but no pain.

Then just prior to the procedure an enema was performed (about 3 times) and I was all set to go.

Woke up later having no idea that they done the deed, and all was well.

Good luck with your visit/op and no need to worry.

Check with doctor if doing gastroscopy as I had that several months ago and they were very careful to make sure I did not intend to drive home.  Easy procedure and really woke up very refreshed but the sedation was a total outage for me from the point of putting mouthpiece in until waking up.

Not my post Lopburi3, but totally agree and I had one as I suffered from GERD at one time.

Driving home is not actual. This due to the fact that my insurance-compny demands that I spend the night if they are to pay the bill.... Which they are..

Seems that you had a very thoughtful, thourough exam with a doctor who asked lots of questions and developed a pre- and post-op plan specific to your condition, unlike what I've encountered in the U.S. where they simply gave the same standard printed instructions to everyone.  Your experience at BKK Hospital Korat is very similar to what I had at BKK CM, although I didn't have to stay overnight after the procedure because I live in CM, Hubby was with me and the cost of the procedure was below our insurance deductible, so no overnight stay to enjoy their 5-star experience.
