Sanook reported that Samut Songkhram police had charged a 19 year old man with attempted murder and weapons offences after a 45 year old man was shot and grievously injured in the Lat Yai area on Monday.

Whale shark's plea for help goes in vain

A video of a giant whale shark swimming towards a diving instructor while showing its tail that was tied by a rope has gone viral on the Internet.

 

The event took place near Koh Pha Ngan in Surat Thani province on June 13. A three-metre-long whale shark, that was injured by a rope tightening around its tail, swam to the diving instructor seeming to suggest that it needed help.

Mahout found dead with throat cut at Phuket elephant camp

PHUKET: A mahout was found with his throat cut by his own long knife at an elephant camp near Nai Thon Beach late yesterday afternoon (June 16). The relative who lived with the mahout believes that the man committed suicide.
