ThailandRyan
They will be offering him 12 new high end watches and pinky rings, one for each month. This way they can have him also steer sum of that pork from the Government back into the party. God forbid he does not need any more pork. He reminds me of Porky Pig.....

Popular Post rkidlad
You’d have thought after he was caught with all those stolen watches that he’d just slowly disappear. But nope! This regime has zero shame and clearly doesn’t care what anyone thinks. To have this man as the head of the leading political party just shows that the regime aren’t even playing along with the whole ‘politics’ thing anymore. They’re simply ruling as an autocracy.

What stolen watches? He was cleared of any wrong doing by the fine legal and morally pure system of corruption investigation and cleared of not reporting assets, which it took them a very long time to determine they were just borrowed. He must also borrow his friends wives when needed to be his arm candy to match the rngs and watches he wears. Porky does need a petunia around....

Chang_paarp
So much of a pantomime, everyone knew the plot and the outcome. Why did they bother going through the charade and just appoint him in the first place?

BobbyL
A man who on many occasions has been photographed sleeping during government debates is now taking over the party. Tragic.
Scott Tracy
It's not so much who you know, or what you know. It's more what you know about who you know. The party can keep the idiot under better scrutiny as leader....

Yinn
Prayut lacks a mandate from the people since he did not run for election. Also, he is the sole PM candidate nominated by Phalang Pracharat, which failed to win a majority of seats in the March election and thereby has little in the way of legitimacy to form a government. If he is elected today, Prayut’s administration will be one of the most unstable in recent history.
